LG Enters Blockchain And Cryptocurrency Space

LG corporation may be entering Blockchain and Cryptocurrency field.

As per the reports suggested LG has applied for trademark application for electronic wallet that may contain Cryptocurrency.

The trademark has applied by the name of THINKQ Wallet with US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The documents filed have suggested that trademark has been applied for services concerning transactions and settlement related services, mobile banking, issuance of cyber money and payment related services for mobile phones.

LG is also planning to track food being served in Korean school cafeterias. The project will be partnership with IT service provider SayIT. The service will track production, processing, distribution, acquisition and consumption data.

One more South Korean mobile finance provider – Toss is also entering Blockchain and Cryptocurrency field.

The Toss app has 12 Million Active users and last year the company hit unicorn status, raising some USD 80 million in investment for a valuation of USD 1.2 Billion.

The Toss company is been backed by Paypal and VC companies in US and South Korea.

In May the Taiwan company – HTC has launched an ERC-20 token swap for users of its Exodus 1 Smartphone as a result of the company partnership with the Ethereum based decentralised exchange Kyber Network.

For 10-07 Bitcoin was trading at $12,857 showing gain of 1.7% in the last 24 Hours with the market cap of $ 228 Billion and Ethereum was trading at $309 loss of 2.09% in the last 24 hours with the market cap of $33 Billion.
